He got lower and lower until he was rubbing my ass. “Bruno oh my god! Just do it!” I yelled. He laughed, “It’s okay, why do you frustrate yourself so much.. It’s okay to have sex with me.” “I know it is but, you just drive me crazy with everything you do!” “Calm down..” he whispered into my ear. I took a deep breath and he hugged me from behind again.
I rubbed my hands all over her stomach and down to the inside of her thighs. She shivered from my touch. Everything about her turned me on all the time. I loved the way she took care of me, and I wanted to repay her in pleasure. “Do you really want to do this? Because I’ll stop right now.” I said honestly. She nodded slowly, “Yes I want it.” I didn’t even have to say anything else I put my hand on her back and slowly bent her over. I was already ready. I slowly guided myself in and I closed my eyes slowly. I grabbed her hips and thursted slowly against her. She moved her body with mine, and it felt incredible.
The warm water on my back and the feeling of all of this had me in the clouds. I bent her over a bit more until she was bracing herself with her hands on the wall. I slowly went in and out and watched her faces. I knew she loved when I did that. I really didn’t want to put her in anymore pain then she already was, but I really needed to speed up or we would be in here forever. I sped up with each passing minute and watched her closely being sure not to take her out of her zone. When she was feeling good, I was feeling good. She moaned my name softly and it only made me go faster. I threw my head back and closed my eyes. I moved my hands from her hips up to her back until I got to her shoulders. I opened my eyes back up, grabbed her shoulders, and went harder. I bit my lip and watched myself.
“Don’t go past this.” she moaned. “I’ll try.” I managed to get out. Everything was moving fast and I felt myself getting there faster than I usually did. “Are you almost done?” I asked. She shook her head no. Damn, I always wanted her to get hers before I got mine. Each stroke I took got me closer and closer. I closed my eyes and tried not to focus on being done, I wanted to stay right where I was. I took a couple more and without any warning I went all the way to the top. I stopped all together, I was not ready to be done. “What happened?” she said looking back to me.
I looked down at myself and then back to her, “It snuck up on me..” She smiled, “Why didn’t you just finish?” “I can’t.. you have to get yours first…” She turned around to me, “Bruno, you always do that, just let yourself go, what you are doing is torture.” I smiled, she was right. Sometimes things would feel so good that I would be done in under 10 minutes, I hated that. I really hated it when she didn’t get hers before I did. I took a deep breath, “Okay.. I’m sorry.”
She grabbed me unexpectingly and rubbed me. I closed my eyes and just let her do what she was doing. All the steam from the water and her touch made my stomach tingle. She kissed me and I rubbed her back.
As we unlocked lips I watched his face. He was loving what I was doing, and usually he would try to hide his feelings. But, I could tell he couldn’t control it anymore. He closed his eyes and every time I stroked him he let out a small moan. I wanted to show him that it wasn’t all about me all the time, he deserved something too. I sped up and rubbed his thigh. He started standing on his toes and his face got tighter. I knew he was going to explode at any minute. “Here it comes.” he said threw his teeth. He stopped me and turned around quickly, threw his head back, and let out a deep moan.
I covered my mouth and held in a laugh, the noises he made when he came was so funny and cute. He titled his head back down and then looked back to me, “That ain’t funny.” I nodded, “It kind of is. You act like I haven’t seen you do it before.” “Okay, but it’s awkward.” “Okay Bru.. I’ve been with you for almost 8 years now, and we’re engaged, and it’s awkward…” I said sarcastically. He looked back and smiled, “Alright alright… wash up and get out!” I laughed, “Yes sir!” We switched spots again and both washed up. I was wondering what was going threw his mind because he seemed to be in deep thought.
After we we’re done I stepped out first and covered myself in my towel. He jumped out wrapped him self in a towel and ran his fingers threw his hair. I opened the door first and the cold air hit me hard, I shivered and ran into the bedroom. As soon as I walked in, I heard his phone ringing. He came in looked at me, and then went to answer his phone. “I’m doing good sir, how are you?” he said drying his hair. I paid no attention because it sounded like business. “Really? I can meet you there in 15 minutes. Yes sir, alright bye.” I looked at with a concerned look, “What’s going on?” “A music video director is at the studio, and he wants to talk to me.” he said smiling. I smiled also, Bruno’s first music video? It couldn’t come fast enough…
Chapter 72
“I know you wanted to stay home and spend time together today, but I want you to come to the studio with me. Please.” he said pulling his jeans on. “It’s fine babe, I’ll go.” I said pulling a black fitted shirt on. Since we we’re going to the studio, I didn’t really want to get all dressed up. I started to pull on my jeans while Bruno just grabbed a flannel out of his drawer. I had no idea what to do with my hair, it was in knots because of everything from last night.
I nonchalantly walked over to Bruno’s hat rack and grabbed his black and grey fedora. I put it on, “May I wear this?” He looked at me laughed, “You don’t even know how to wear it.” I tilted it a little to the right like he did, “Like this?” He walked over to me and fixed it right, “No, like this.” I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. He grabbed it off my head, “But, I never said you could wear it!” He put it on his head and ruffled my hair around making it look even worst. “Oh my god!” I yelled. “Now you look good!” he said laughing. I pushed him and went to the mirror and put my hair into a ponytail. It was all I could do with it now.
We walked out into the living room and I looked over to the refrigerator. I hadn’t got hunger pains yet, but if I didn’t eat soon they would hit me hard. “You going to eat something really fast?” I asked him. He walked over to the key rack and grabbed his keys. “We don’t have time but, listen. Right after this, I’ll treat us to some lunch okay?” I shrugged, “Sure.” Lunch didn’t sound half bad, it was better then him making us pop tarts. I grabbed my purse off the floor where I dropped it last night. It made me replay last night’s activities in my head all over. I realized how crazy Bruno was acting, but I’m sure it wouldn’t always be like that. On the way out the door I reached into my purse and pulled out a pair of ray bans and threw them on. I loved these glasses just as much as Bruno did.
The California sun was bright as ever today, you would be dumb not to have some type of protection for your eyes. We hopped into the car and the first thing he did was grab his ray bans off the dashboard and put them on. He always looked damn good in them, better then I could explain. I smiled at him, “Trying to be like me huh?” “No you stole my good pair!” he said starting the car. I just laughed, I actually did take these from him, but I wouldn’t call it stealing. I leaned towards the door and looked out the window. I watched as we passed by parks and we got towards downtown.
Before I knew it I was day dreaming. Bruno’s phone rang and I listened as he told Phil to come down to the studio. I couldn’t believe how far the two had came. From gigs at bars, to putting out a first album. A album that they had produced and wrote all by themselves. There we’re no words to explain how proud of them I was. Not many people understood how hard it was for all of us threw those 7 years. Bruno wrote and produced over 65 songs that never got released. He was a really hard worker even though he never had any success. I felt blessed to be able to see him record songs. He was special and the people around him we’re just amazing.
“What you smiling at?” Bruno said. I looked over to him and he was smiling from ear to ear. “Nothing.. I’m just thinking about stuff.” I said smiling back at him. “Yeah.. alright..” I bet he probably thinks I’m thinking about sex, but I’m not a horn dog like he is. We pulled up to the studio to find a few cars that I myself didn’t recognize. We got out and I watched as a middle aged man got out of a black truck. He came over to us, “Mr.Mars glad to finally meet you!” “Nice to meet you too sir!” he said shaking his hand. I was guessing he was the director.
Bruno walked over, unlocked the door, and we all went in. “So, let’s get to business because I’m short on time.” he said sitting on the couch. “Alright, I’m ready.” Bruno said crossing his arms. “Well we can get started on shooting the video next Wednesday, but we need you to choose a female partner for the idea we have in mind.” I sat on the couch and watched them both. Bruno looked over to me and then back to him, “Well I was hoping I could use my fiancée Diamond.” I got butterflies, that was the first time he had called me his fiancée. The director shook his head, “I’m sorry, but you would have to pick an actress threw your label.” “What?” Bruno said looking to me and then back to him. I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was going to be upset………
Chapter 73
“I’m sorry but, they would rather you use an actress for something as big as this.” he said sitting up. “I don’t get this industry sometimes.” Bruno said shaking his head. It got silent, and I knew Bruno was going to start taking this personally. “Bruno, it’s okay. Just do what you have to do, it’s business.” He slowly nodded, “Alright is there anyone specific besides you that I need to give a call or meet with?” The director looked around quickly, “I’ll be right back I left what I needed to give you in my truck.” As soon as Bruno heard the door close he slammed down into the couch next to me. I just looked at him, I had no idea what was on his mind.
I didn’t want to have to pick an actress, because that mean’t another girl in my life. Another girl that could possibly cause problems in my relationship, that I really didn’t need right now. It was hard for me to say no to things for some reasons. What if she started to get feelings for me? What if Diamond thought I was taking the acting thing too far? Maybe I was just overreacting about this whole thing.
Soon as I leaned my head up to say something I heard the door open. I took a deep breath and the director walked in with papers in his hand. “These are a couple of actress agencies you can chose from that are affiliated with your label.” he passed me a piece of paper and I just scanned over it, I didn’t want to read any of it right now. “And this is some ideas we’ve put together for the video it’s self, you can choose which you like best or come up on something different, it’s up to you.” he handed me another couple of papers and I did the same with those I did with the last.
“I’m really sorry to upset you Mr.Mars but there are rules, ones that we’re not made by me.” “Aw nah sir, it’s fine, I know it’s not up to you.” I said standing up. I reached out and shook his hand again, “Thanks for your time, and you will be hearing from me very soon.” He nodded and smiled, “Thanks sir you and your fiancee’ here have a good day.” Diamond smirked and waved to him and he walked away. I sat back down and watched him walk. Right before he was going into the hall he back up, “Oh and make sure you call your A&R and let him know what’s going on.” I nodded and smiled, “You got it.” I heard the door close and I sat back into the couch and looked over to Diamond. She smiled at me, and her smile made me feel like everything was going to be okay. She put her hand on my thigh, “Look I’m not mad, so you shouldn’t be. I think an actress will do a hell of a lot better then I could.” I leaned over and kissed her, “I love you so much. You just don’t even know.” She kissed me again, “Oh I know.”
I kept kissing her and before I knew it I was on top of her and we we’re making out. “Bruno… remember where we are…” she said pushing me up. “I know exactly where we are.” I laughed. “Okay, then get off of me!” she said laughing. I sighed and got up off of her, “Damn I was already ready.”
I looked down at his pants, and of course he was hard. “You get excited a little too quick, don’t you think?” I said looking back up to his eyes. He shrugged and smirked, “Honestly not quick enough.” I shook my head, “You’re so nasty.” He leaned in towards me again, “But you like it.” Right as we we’re about to kiss again there was a knock at the door, it made both of us jump. “Fix yourself, I’ll get it.” I said throwing a pillow at him. I went to the door and opened it, Phil greeted me with a big ol’ hug. “Papa Phil, how you feeling?” I said as we unlocked. “I’m doing pretty excellent I have to say! Where’s the little hawaiian boy?” “In the main room.” I said laughing. I loved how they picked on each other. I walked back into the main room to find Bruno sitting in the same spot, but with the pillow on his lap. I held in a laugh, and he shot me a look.
“So I saw someone leaving, who was that the A&R?” he said sitting in the spinning chair at the desk. Bruno sat up but, still held the pillow tight against him, “Na that was actually the director for the music video coming to tell me everything.” Phil kept spinning in the chair, “So, everything good?” Bruno shook his head, “Not really, they wouldn’t let me use Diamond.” Phil frowned as he kept spinning, “Why not?” “Some stupid rules and just industry bullshit in my opinion.” “Damn.” Phil said spinning a little bit slowly. “I have no problem with it.” I said sitting up a bit on the couch.
They both looked at me, “No really, I don’t it’s just a music video and acting. It’s really not a big deal.” I said honestly. It really wasn’t if Bruno had to kiss a girl or do whatever to sell the idea of the song, then I had no problem if he did it. It isn’t like I wouldn’t know or they would be having relations. That was all in Bruno’s hands. Bruno smiled at me again then looked me up and down. He gave me the I-love-you-so-much-wait-till-we-get-home look he always did when we we’re out with each other. I laughed and shot a look down to the pillow he was still holding against him.
His smile dropped and he shifted his position on the couch, “So, can we go get something to eat or what?” Phil finally stopped spinning in the chair, “You don’t even have to ask me about going to eat.” I got up, “Well let’s go before my hunger pains finally come!” They both stood up, and I watched as Bruno slowly moved the pillow, checked himself, and then put it down on the couch. He was so cute when it came to being embarrassed. I lead us outside back out into the unforgiving sun. “So where we going?” Bruno said leaning onto his car. Phil looked at me and then back to him, “I don’t know it’s up to yall. Wherever we go, I’ll eat.” Bruno looked at me, “We don’t have to go any where extravagant, let’s just go so people won’t notice who you are Bruno.” He quickly nodded, “I agree! McDonalds it is?” Phil jumped into the back seat of Bruno’s car quickly, “We can’t get there fast enough!” I laughed and got into the car. McDonalds always put a smile on all of our faces. Bruno got in and threw his ray bans back on, and I did the same. We drove to the nearest MickeyD’s that was only 3 blocks away. Soon as we walked in, I had to use the bathroom. My bladder could be so weird sometimes. “I’ll be back!” I said rushing to the bathroom.
I went and stood in line behind a few people with Phil by my side. I never took my glasses off and I was just waiting for someone to jump out at me. I never felt the same about being in public anymore. I got up to the cashier and she put her hand over her mouth, “Oh my god. Bruno Mars!” she yelled. I started panic and just smiled. I looked around and everyone was looking at me. Maybe McDonalds was a bad idea…….
Chapter 74
I was lost for words. I had no idea what I should say or do. I don’t know why I had in my mind that someone was just going to jump on me because in all reality shit like that just didn’t happen, I hoped..”I’m sorry, I just think you’re awesome. Can I take your order?” I giggled, “Yeah can I just get a #1 please, large.” I reached into my back pocket and got my wallet out and paid. I walked over to the left to wait for my food and a young girl came up to me and asked for my autograph. I smiled, “Here you go sweetie.” She walked off holding the piece of paper close to her. I don’t think I was ready for this fame stuff. I liked the whole idea of being known for music, but I just feel like these could get out of hand, quickly. Diamond finally walked out and looked over to me, she frowned. I just shook my head quickly and she just shrugged her shoulders. She got in line behind Phil and my food finally came. I sat there waiting for their food to come, I really wished we had of just went to the drive-thru.
We all picked up our trays of food and went and sat in a booth in the back. Luckily, there wasn’t anyone back there. I took a deep breath before I finally started eating my food. “Bruno… are you okay?” Diamond asked me. “I am now, the public is scary to me now. People noticed me anyway..” She frowned a bit, “It’ll all get better, it’s just new to you right now.” Phil pointed to me with a mouthful of food, “She’s right Brunz!” I nodded, “Alright.” I loved being the center of attention most of the time, like when I was on stage, but the feeling I got in public was different. It kind of made my skin itch. I pushed it to the back of my mind so that I would no longer upset myself throughout the day with it. I really needed to get in the studio today. I ended up not eating all of my food, so I wrapped it up for later. I decided to go out and have a smoke to calm my nerves while Phil and Diamond finished up.
I walked out into the blazing sun, it was mid-July and the temperature was going to do nothing but soar. I walked over in front of my car and leaned against a wall in front of it. I lit a cigarette and stood there going into deep thought about music. I was expected to be done writing, and producing all 10 songs for my album by August, and with the way things we’re moving for me, I was going to be on time. Out of all my songs I really wanted to work on Grenade, not for Amber’s sake but, for mine. I felt like there was something special about that song, and I hope I wasn’t the other person who would see that.
Right as my nerves we’re calming a guy with a camera came towards me. He came out of fucking nowhere. My stomach went into knots. “Bruno, what are you’re plans for your new album?!” I put on my fake smile, “Well you’re just going to have to wait to find out.” “We heard you we’re having problems in your relationship because of drinking, why is that?” My smile quickly dropped, “I’m sorry I’m not gonna answer that.” I kept shaking my head and they kept throwing questions at me about drinking.
I walked out of the glass doors and saw Bruno standing in front of a guy with a camera. Bruno looked really upset. “Hey what the fuck!” I yelled walking towards them. They quickly turned to me, “You want something to look at, look at this!” I pushed the camera out of his hand and it crashed against the ground. “Hey, you’re going to pay for that!” “I’m not paying for shit, find something to do with you’re life!” The guy came towards me and I dropped everything I had, “Try me!” I wish he would put his hands on me, I know I would lose but, I would fight my ass off. “Whoa, calm down!” Phil said grabbing me away. The guy quickly looked to all of us and then grabbed his banged up camera from off the ground. Bruno stared him down as he walked towards me. “Diamond.. you didn’t have to do that..” “Yes I did.. I hate when they do that to you.” I said looking down. “Let’s take this conversation to the car before more come.” Phil said finally letting me go.
We all jumped into Bruno’s car and for the first 3 minutes of the ride, it was silent. “Look guys, I’m sorry. I know I could have handle that better, but it just really upsets me when they mess with you!” I said still looking out the window. Neither one of them still didn’t say anything. I turned to Bruno, “What did he even say to you?” Bruno shook his head and glanced over to me, “Nothing important I promise. Stuff I just really don’t want the media to know. I didn’t answer anything.” I just nodded, “Okay.” “You still didn’t have to do that though.” I looked over to him in mock horror, “What do you mean? I was standing up for you.” “Okay, I understand that. But, you just get out of hand so damn fast!” he said raising his voice. “I don’t want to talk about it anymore.” I said looking away from him. “Now you don’t want to talk about it, why is that?” he said pulling up to the studio.
Before I could answer his question I quickly took off my seat belt and bolted out of the car before he could even turn the car off. I really didn’t understand him sometimes. I realized that I didn’t even have the keys to the studio door before I got out so I just sat on the bench. I felt like I was overacting a little bit, but at the same time I didn’t care. It was best if we both just let this go.
I took a deep breath and turned the car off. I hated arguing with her even if it was just over something simple. “Phil, I’m sorry man.” I said looking at him in the rear view mirror. He put his hand on my shoulder, “You know it’s alright, but you need to talk to her. I can’t have yall arguing over minor shit.” I looked threw the window to her sitting on the bench. I took another deep breath and adjusted my hat. “Alright, can you tell her to come back in here?” “Gotcha.” he said opening the door. I watched him as he went over and said something to her and point back to the car. She got up and came slowly walked towards the car. She got in and didn’t even look at me. “Diamond, please… stop.” She finally looked over at me, “Stop what Bruno?”
I took off my glasses and looked her right in her eyes, “You don’t have to always stand up for me. Some stuff I can handle on my own okay?” She hook her head, “You just don’t understand how much it breaks my heart when I see them upset you. I know you so well. I know how much it hurts you and how uncomfortable it makes you. I love you okay, and I can’t help but stand up for you when shit like that happens.” I just stared at her looking right threw her. She looked over to me and looked away, “Stop looking at me like that.” I smiled and grabbed her face and turned it towards mine. She smiled but, then covered it up. “Baby, listen to me real quick. I love that you want to look out for me, but I’m still a man at the end of the day, and there are some things that you got to let me handle on my own. I love you more then you will ever understand, and you’re right I get hurt by those things, but I got this. Okay?” “Alright Bruno..” she said trying to hide a smile. “Now give me some love.” I said leaning in to kiss her…….
Chapter 75
I leaned over and kissed him, he smiled against my lips. I loved when he did that, he was so sexy. “I love you.” he said as we leaned out. “I love you too.” I said honestly. I did love this man, my fiancee’. My amazing, talented, beautiful fiancee’. I felt like if he proposed to me then he put it in his mind that he was going to change his ways and be a better man, my husband. So, I decided that I was going to do the same, if me letting him handle things on his own made him happy, then so be it. We finally got out of the car and made our way into the studio.
The rest of the day was pretty amazing. Bruno played a song for me that I had never heard before, it was a pretty deep song. I was still trying to figure out where he got the idea for it from. But, he was a good writer and he had his imagination so I let him do his thing. The song wasn’t quite finished but, I felt like it had potential to be something huge. I fell asleep in Bruno’s arms watching a movie at home.
Wednesday rolled around and I was still getting used to not having to wake up for work. I have to say I really did enjoy waking up to Bruno’s chin. To know that I was really going to be waking up to that everyday for the rest of my life warmed my heart. Bruno’s first rehearsal for Saturday Night Live was today, and of course he was nervous as ever, but I knew he would do fine. He was introduced to the ear plugs, and I loved how his eyes lit up like a little kid when he listened to them for the first time. He didn’t stop talking about how amazing they we’re all day. Today, we had more problems with the paparazzis but, I let Bruno handle everything by himself. Of course he bragged to me about how he could after it succeeded for the first time. But, all in all I was still going to be watching after my Bru.
Thursday came and me and Bruno decided we would spend most of the day in the house since we really hadn’t all week. I cleaned up most of the day while he watched TV and wrote lyrics. It seemed that he never stopped writing. The studio was our second home, and we found ourselves crashing there more and more. Bruno told me that he wanted to take me out tomorrow, just me and him, a date. I realized that we hadn’t been on a date with just us in ages. That actually sounded like a really good idea. I was pretty excited. Bruno gave me a private show tonight, and introduced me to a new song he had wrote called Our First Time. I had to say it was pretty amazing and made me so damn horny. But, we didn’t do anything he told me to save my energy for tomorrow night, how funny.
I woke up and reached out for Bruno and he wasn’t there. I quickly opened my eyes, I was just not used to him not still being there. How is it that he can get out of the bed without me noticing but, I can’t? I sat up on my elbows and heard the shower water running. I smiled to myself, he didn’t wait for me this time. I kicked my feet out of the bed, got up, and took my time making it. I decided that I would go ahead and pick my clothes out for tonight even though it was only 11 A.M. and we we’re weren’t going out till’ 6. I went over to my closet and flipped through almost everything. I came across a few things I could have wore, but I passed up on. I turned around and took a deep breath, it’s not that serious I thought. Bruno told me to just dress simple, a dress would be over doing it. He loved when I wore dresses, he always said that he could get in them easier. I smiled when I heard the bathroom door open.
He walked in holding a towel around himself. He smiled to me, “Good morning.” “Morning Bru!” He walked over to me and hugged me tight. I squirmed away, “Stop you’re still wet!” He laughed, “I know.” He took his wet hair and wiped it all over my face. I laughed and screamed at the same time, if that’s even possible. I finally pushed him away, “Why didn’t you wait for me?” He laughed, “Oh so we officially take showers together now?” I quickly shook my head, “No, I wasn’t saying that!” He took off his towel, “Too late, you already said it!” I just shook my head and smiled, that’s all I could do with him.
I reached over into the drawer, grabbed underwear, and slipped them on. I watched as Diamond looked threw clothes, she seemed to be getting frustrated. “Are you already looking for something to wear?” I said putting on a t-shirt. “Yes, I am. If I don’t do it now, it’ll take forever later.” she said closing the closet. I shrugged, “Okay, it doesn’t have to be that special..” She took a deep breath, “You say that, and then I put something on, and you’re like aw babe, you should have wore a dress.” she said mocking me in a baby voice. I shot her a look, “I do not sound like that.”
She made a funny face, “You sure?” I could tell now we we’re going to have a good time today, she made me smile uncontrollably. I went over and held her tight, “Oh I’m pretty sure.” “Okay, I’m going to take a shower now.” She said trying to get away. “Oh damn, I need to take these clothes back off then, don’t I?” She laughed, “No! You just got out. Let me at least have my last shower by myself?” I put out my lip, “Okay.. I understand..” She laughed, pushed me away and went into the bathroom.
I put on some sweatpants and collapsed onto the bed. I had to say, I was pretty excited for tonight. It was the first time me and her we’re going on a date by ourselves in months. In the back of my mind, I worried about the media and how one single thing could ruin my night, but I stayed pretty positive for the most part. I frowned to myself as my stomach started to growl, nothing a bowl of cereal won’t solve. I got up and went to the kitchen and made me a bowl. I ate it in minutes and went back into the room feeling much better. I grabbed my guitar and sat on the bed strumming some random tunes. I closed my eyes and hummed words to the melodies I was playing. I wasn’t really doing work, it was just a soothing thing.
I finally heard the bathroom door open and Diamond came and stood in the doorway. She just stared at me, and I stared back at her. I stopped strumming, “What?” “Serious question for you Bru.” I got slight butterflies because when she said that, it was really something serious. “Listening.” “Do you really really want kids?” I heard her pretty clear, but I was still unsure if she had said it or not. “Wait, what?”……….

“I said… do you want kids?” I didn’t want to say anything that would make her mad, and I didn’t want to say anything I really didn’t mean. “I mean yes, but right now wouldn’t be a good.. time?” I said confusing myself. She smiled, “Okay.” She started to walk back into the bathroom, but I called her name stopping her. “What?” “Why did you ask that?” “Because I wanted to know?” she said looking at me crazy. “You just don’t ask those kinds of things… for no reason..” She nodded, “You can.”
I took a deep breath, “Are you pregnant Diamond?” She frowned, “I don’t know Bruno you tell me..” I looked at her crazy and stuttered, “I mean I don’t know.. I have been doing that a lot…. in there.” She laughed, “You’re such a little kid sometimes. I’m on birth control you know that. Do you want me to get pregnant?” I didn’t mean to laugh but, I did. “I do but, not right now, please not right now.” She shrugged, “Okay.” I watched her as she went back into the bathroom and closed to the door.
I frowned to myself, I really hope that I didn’t offend her in any type of way. Of course I want kids with her, but the way that my career is going right now it just can’t happen. I pushed the conversation to the back of my head. I continued strumming but, this time I sang instead of hummed. Diamond came back in and came over and kissed me. I smiled, “What’s that forrrr?” She kissed me again, “I feel like I don’t kiss you enough.” I kissed her again, “Really? I thought I was the only one that felt like that.” She looked away and tightened her face. I turned her face back towards mine and I could tell she was about to cry. “What’s wrong?” I said quickly. “You mean everything to me.. and I will never have enough time to tell you that.” I stood up and took her in my arms, I kissed her all over her face slowly, “You don’t have to tell me, I see it in the things you do for me everyday.” She didn’t respond and I just held her a little bit tighter. It really felt good to be loved, just for being me. I knew she loved me for me, because she had been here all along, throughout everything.
We finally unlocked and I wiped her eyes, “Now don’t cry, today is going to be a good day alright?” She nodded, “Okay.” “Now I got one request.” She smiled, “What?” “Please make ya boy some bacon and eggs.” She laughed, “Sure Bru, you got it.”
We both got dressed in t-shirts and sweatpants and she went in to start breakfast while I quickly wrote down some lyrics that I had thought of. It seemed that I was getting inspiration from every little thing now. When I was done, I went into the kitchen and sat at the bar. I put my hands under my chin and watched her closely. “So, once again.” she laughed. I smiled, I already knew what she was going to say. “You have nothing else better to do?” she said still laughing. I shook my head and kept smiling, “Nope.” “You sure?” “Not a damn thing.” “You know, as many times as you watch me.. you should know how to cook.” she said still laughing. “No matter how many times I watch you, I will never learn.” She shook her head, “I bet you don’t even try.”
I quickly got up and went behind her, “Okay, I’ll try.” I grabbed her arms and guided them around. I stirred the eggs around and laid more bacon into the pan. Even though it really wasn’t me, she made me feel like it. “See I know what I’m doing.” I said holding in a laugh. “Right.” I finally let go of her arms and continued cooking. I went and sat back at the bar and watched her until she finally put my plate in front of me. “It doesn’t get any better then this.” I said stuffing food in my mouth. “It’s better then pop tarts?!” she said setting her plate down next to mine. I quickly looked at her, “I don’t know that’s hard.” She laughed, “You’re a mess.” We both spent the next 10 minutes eating, and talking about my performance tomorrow night. I was passed excited for it now, I want it to just be here.
After we ate, I helped clean up and we decided on a movie to kill time until tonight. We cuddled up on the couch and I reached over and threw a cover over us. After 20 minutes, I realized that I was getting pretty sleepy. I moved around a bit and yawned. “Don’t you dare fall asleep on me.” Diamond said out of nowhere. “I’m not..” I lied. She leaned up and looked my straight in the eyes, “Yeah right…” “Well, this movie is not keeping me woke.” “I got something that’ll wake you up.” I looked at her crazy, “Huh?” She grabbed me down there and I jumped and laughed, “No.” She rubbed me and I threw my head back, “Diamond. Do not get me started!” “What if I do, what are you going to do about it?” It felt good and I didn’t stop her, “Just don’t do it..” I whispered. Right as I was getting really hard, she stopped. I quickly looked to her, “Why?” “Payback.” I looked at her in mock horror, “For what? What did I do?” “Last night.” “Oh my god.” I whispered. She laughed and looked back at the TV, “Yep.”
“Well guess what..” She quickly looked to me, “What?” I tackled her on the couch, “This is different.” I held her arms down and kissed her everywhere. She laughed and dodged as many of them as she could. I got between her legs and grinded against her slowly. I was pretty sure she could feel me threw my sweatpants. “No Bruno, stop it.” “Na, I like it.” I said in between kisses. “No really you gotta stop.” she said seriously. I stopped everything I was doing and frowned at her, “Why?” “Because you remember what you told me, the rules still apply.” “What do I say?” “No no babe, you gotta save your energy for tomorrow night.” she said mocking me. I laughed, “Alright you win. But know now, tonight I’m not stopping.” I let her go and sat back up on the couch. “What do you mean you’re not stopping?” she said looking at me in mock horror. “Don’t worry.. Chapter 77
I swallowed hard, “Alright.” He was getting more and more aggressive with his words, but for some reason I liked it. He was always gentle and kind with his words, I didn’t mind if he was rough and out of control in bed. That side of him was sexy anyway. But, I have to say I was pretty nervous about it now because of his comment.
Before I knew it, 5 rolled around and we both stood in the bedroom getting dressed. I decided on some skinny jeans with an black and grey off the shoulder shirt. I threw on my black heels that didn’t make me too much taller then Bruno, my hair was nice to me today, and I was able to let it hang down. I threw on some hoops, and a couple of bracelets. When I was finally done with everything I turned to him. He had on his chucks, black jeans, and a black button up. He reached over to his hat rack and pulled his fedora down. He rubbed his hair back and threw it on. He turned to me and instantly smiled. “Look at you.” he said raising his eyebrow. “No look at you.” I said walking over to him. He grabbed my hands and slowly moved my wedding ring around on my finger. “I want you to have a good time tonight.” I nodded, “As long as I’m with you, I’m sure I will.” He kissed me and we both walked out into the living room. “Take a jacket.” he said grabbing his keys. I smiled, “Okay.” I couldn’t wait to see what this guy had in mind, he could be so unpredictable sometimes.
We walked out into the sun got into Bruno’s car. “Alright.” he said putting on his ray bans. I just looked at him, “Alright?” He just smiled, shook, his head and started the car. I nodded to myself, I was just going to go with it. On the way to where ever he turned on the radio and we danced in our seats to a couple of songs. We pulled up to a restaurant called The Noe. I quickly looked at him, “This place is expensive as ever.” He shrugged, “I know.” Before I could say anything else a guy from the valet opened my door. I slowly stepped out with my purse and jacket in hand. I nodded to him and Bruno walked over and handed him his keys. “Thank you sir.” he said to the man. He nodded and as he got into the car. We walked into the restaurant and it was beautiful. “Reservations for Hernandez.” he said to the lady at the booth. I smiled to myself, I loved the way he said his last name. She nodded quickly and grabbed two menus. She walked threw tables and we followed close behind her. She put the two menus down in front of a table for two that sat in front of a huge fish tank. Bruno went out first and pulled my chair out for me to sit down. I leaned over and hung my purse and jacket on the chair.
Bruno went over and sat in front me and just smiled. “Our waiter will be right with you two.” the lady said smiling. “Thank you.” Bruno said nodding. I shifted my attention from her back to him. “Bruno I…” He shook his head and closed his eyes, “Shh baby, you don’t have to say anything.” I smiled, “Okay.” “This is your night, you don’t have to do anything.” he said slowly. His words made me feel on top of the world, “Yes sir.” A waiter walked over to us, “Hi my name is Robert and I’ll be serving you tonight. Can I start you two off with drinks?” “Uhh.. can we get a bottle of wine for the both of us?” Bruno said looking up to him. “Of course.” he said walking away. I shot him a look, “Wine Bruno?” He shrugged and smirked, “Why not?” I giggled, “I don’t know what you’re up to, but I like it.” “I’m not up to nothing, I’m just expressing my love.” I smiled and looked threw the menu. He picked up his and did the same.
I decided that I would get lobster while Bruno always picked out the best steak a place had. The waiter came back with two glasses and a bottle of wine, “Here we are, the best we have.” He set them on the table and pulled out a notepad. “Are you both ready to order?” We both gave him our orders and he quickly walked off to put them in. Bruno reached out for the bottle and cracked it open. He slowly poured us both a glasses and lifted it up to toast. I lifted mine as well. “This is to…” he paused and looked up like he was thinking. He looked back at me, “To us. May our upcoming marriage be as beautiful as the last 7 years.” We lightly put our glasses together and then drank from them. I really wasn’t a wine girl, but this wine was really good.
After 20 minutes of talking about everything in the world our food came. We both ate and let each other taste some of our food. I loved the face he made when he tasted my lobster. When we got done the waiter came back and took our plates, “Would either of you like dessert?” Bruno looked to me, “Do you want anything?” “Hmm.. I think I saw that you have some strawberry cheesecake here?” “Yes we do.” he said smiling. “Can I get one of those please?” I said nicely. “Of course coming right up.” he said walking away. I looked back to Bruno and he grabbed my legs with his under the table. “Hey!” I whispered. He grabbed them tighter and rubbed his feet up my calfs. “What, I can’t hear you?” he whispered back. I just laughed, “You’re so much fun.” “I mean I try.” he said shrugging. “Do you even like cheesecake?” I said changing the subject. “Maybe..” he said out the side of his mouth. I just smiled and put my hands out on the table signaling for him to give me his.
I looked down to her hands and put my hands out too. She grabbed them and intertwined our fingers together. I fixed her wedding ring so that it stood up. “I love you so much.” I said leaning down to kiss it. I looked back up to see her smiling at me, “I love you so much more.” I looked over to see the waiter coming with the cheesecake, I let her hands go, “Not true.” “Here is your cheesecake ma’am.” he said sitting in down in front of Diamond. “Thank you.” “Alright will that be all for you two?” I nodded, “Yes sir.” “Alright, I’ll bring your check out.” I nodded again and looked back to Diamond. She slowly slid her fork threw the cheesecake, and I realized I wanted it more then I thought I did. “Give me some.” I said opening my mouth. She put her piece in her mouth, giggled, and cut off another piece. She slowly cut another one and moved it to my mouth. She gently removed the fork as I bit down. I raised my eyebrows as I ate it, it was delicious. I ended up eating more of it then she did.
I paid the bill and we said our goodbyes to the waiter and the lady who seated us. We went back outside and the sun was just about gone. I put my arm around Diamond as we waited for my car to come. I knew she would love the next part of our date, even though it would take her back to some bad memories. The car finally came and we jumped in. “Can you stop at the gas station for me before we go home?” I laughed, “We’re not going home..” She quickly looked at me, “Where are we going then?” “You’ll see.” I said turning the corner…….
Chapter 78
I looked at him crazy, but I trusted his word. I watched the sun set as we turned more and more corners. We got to a familiar place downtown, I knew it from somewhere but, I didn’t remember where. I looked around some and Bruno pulled off to the side and parked. “Where are we?” I said still looking around. He took a deep breath, “Just follow me.” He got out of the car and I did the same. He walked over to the side walk and took my hand. He started walking, and I kept up with him. He seemed a little sad all of a sudden and I had no idea why. I sqeezed his hand, “Bruno… are you okay?” He nodded and smirked, “Of course.” I could tell he was lying, but I just let him be. We finally walked up the side of a hotel that I remembered. We turned the corner and I realized that we we’re at the Sheraton. I let go of his hand and stopped walking, “Why are we here?” “Babe, I knew you would be upset, but please just come with me.” I closed my eyes slowly and opened them again, “Alright Bru.” He reached out for my hand again and I grabbed it.
He lead us back into the lobby and I started reliving that whole day over. I shook my head to myself, trying to get the thought out of my head, but they still stayed. Bruno pointed over to the lady at the desk and I looked at her. She smiled and nodded her head towards the elevator. I looked at it and then back to her and she gave us a thumbs up. I quickly looked to Bruno again, I was so unsure of what was going on. We stood there waiting for the elevator in silence. I could tell it was both hard for us to be here. That’s why I didn’t understand why he choose this place out of everywhere in the world. The elevator finally came and I slowly walked on before him. He pressed floor 27 and grabbed my hands the same as he did that day. “Bruno.. I can’t..” I said holding back tears. He squeezed my hands, “Yes you can.” When the door opened I felt my heartbeat speed up. Bruno let go of one of my hands and lead us slowly down the hall. I realized that when we got to the *Do Not Enter* door that I really couldn’t do it.
I stopped, “No Bruno, please don’t take me out here.” He turned to me, “Listen, this is going to be hard for the both of us. But, I need you to see something.” I really needed to be strong for him, I mean he had nightmares about this place, so I know it was just as hard for him. Without saying another word he pushed open the door and the same gust of wind hit the both of us. He squeezed my hand as he hit the corner and turned to the spot where he was about to end it all. The sky was purple and a few clouds stood proud. I looked back down to the ledge that Bruno sat on those months ago. I fought back tears and I still had no idea why I was here. He lead me over to a wall and he took his hat off and sat it on a crate. He pulled up two more and he sat on one, and patted the other one signaling for me to sit down. I sat down and he looked away from me.
I listened as birds made their last noises before night came. “Now Diamond. There a couple of reasons I brought you up here.” he said leaning forward. I put my hands together and felt my stomach starting to turn. “The week that I was gone, this was the hotel that I stayed at. Every night I wouldn’t sleep and I would come out here and think.” he said choking on his words. I watched him closely as he looked around to random places on the ground. He took a deep breath and continued, “I would think of everyone in my life and I debated on if me living would affect any of those people. Of course I thought about my mom and dad, my uncles, sisters, my brother, Phil, Ari, everyone. But, you I thought about you the most.” He paused again. I was on the verge of breaking down, I really hated to see him like this and just to think that he was thinking something like that shattered my heart.
“I thought about what your life would be like, and how much you would cry. But, for some reason I imagined that would forget about me as the years past.” I opened my mouth to say something but, he cut me off. “I know, that’s not true. But, that’s just what my mind was thinking. I was so far gone off of alochol.” I just shook my head and I felt tears coming down my face. “And the night before I was going to do it, I needed you. I needed you more then I had ever in my entire life.” he said still not looking at me. “Why didn’t you call me then?” I said staring at him. He shook his head, “I don’t know, and I don’t think I will ever figure that out.” I put my hand on his thigh. “I know you didn’t know this, but that night, I tried to end my life in a different way.” I looked at him in mock horror, “What? Oh my god Bruno.” He slowly nodded, “I know I’m sorry. I just need you to know one thing before we get married. And no, I don’t know why I choose this night out of all of them to do this, but I couldn’t keep it on my chest any longer.”
I frowned up and wiped my face, I was so confused. He took a deep breath and finally looked at me, “You.” He took his hand and pointed to me. I looked down to his hand and looked back at him. “You are everything I will ever need. You are the reason I can be me. If I ever in life lose you, then I will spend the rest of my days trying to figure out a way to find you. In a way I feel like it was you there stopping me from doing in the first time. I felt like there was someone there that took my hand away, and it wasn’t god or any ghost, it was you.” I felt tears streaming down my face and tears we’re running down his too. “Bruno…. baby..” He put his finger up to my mouth quieting me. He pointed up to the sky and I looked that way. The moon was out and the stars had started making there way into the sky. The city lights sparkled below it all, it was a sight I had never seen before. I nodded slowly, “Bruno… it’s beautiful.” He stood up and reached out for my hand again. “I don’t think you see it.” I don’t think my heart could handle anything else.
He walked us to the exact ledge where he had been and we went close till we we’re almost at the edge. I didn’t dare look down, he got behind me grabbed my head. “Now just move your head with my hands.” I smiled a bit as he guided my head up and then over to the left of the sky. “There it is.” I gasped, it was one of the most beautiful stars I had seen in my entire life. “That star right there, it reminded me of you. Brighter than all of the others but, unique in it’s own special way. It saved me from doing it again that night when I came out here.” He finally let my head go, but I continued to look at it for a couple more seconds. I turned around to him and he smiled even though he still had tears on his face. His eyes light up as the moonlight hit them. “I know you may think I don’t notice, but I know what stars do to you. I know how special they are to you, and I know what special meaning they have to you.” I went into his arms and started to cry, this was really one of the most special things he had ever done for me. There was no money, no fame, or faith that could make me feel the way he did.
He stroked my hair slowly and grabbed me even tighter. “And when you saved me the next day, I felt something new between us, and I told myself that one day before we got married, I was going to take you up here to tell you all of this.” he whispered into my ear. I cried a little bit harder, how did I become blessed with this amazing person…….
Chapter 79

We unlocked and both reached up to each other’s face to wipe away our tears at the same time. We both laughed and ended up hugging again. As we unlocked from this one he kissed me with all of the emotions that I felt like he had been holding in for awhile. “Goddamnit I love you.” I said as he stopped kissing me. He laughed, “I love you too.” He went over and grabbed his hat and I looked back up to that star. I now had a new memory for this place, and it was one that I would keep with me in my heart. He came back over and put his arm around me, “Now theres this third part…” I quickly looked at him and he started laughing. “Na babe, well it’s kind of special.. but it’s at home.” I shot him a look, “Yeah okay.” He laughed again and leaned his head into mine as we walked back into the hotel.
We made our way all the way back down to the car and I couldn’t imagine not being with him ever again. As we drove off I leaned out the window searching for that one star. Instead of counting I would always search for that one instead. I realized that this was the reason he told me to bring a jacket, but I didn’t even need it considering that him and his presence kept me warm the entire time. “I don’t need to go to the gas station anymore.” I said smiling. He laughed. We pulled up into the driveway and he cut the car off and looked over to me. “We both know how we feel right about now.. and we also know what’s about to happen.” I smiled from ear to ear, “Yes I know..” “I got you, I don’t want you to do one damn thing, okay?” “Alright Bru.” “This is one of the best ways I can show you how much I love you.” he said getting out of the car. I didn’t say a word, I just got out and did the same. I walked slowly behind him as we got to the door. He unlocked it and walked over to put his keys on the rack while I hung my jacket up. I sat my purse on the counter as he went into the bathroom. I took a deep breath and walked into the bedroom. I slowly took my heels off and I got the feeling in my stomach that you get before you know something exciting was about to happen.
Bruno came in with his shirt halfway unbuttoned and his hat in his hand. He closed the door behind him and sat his hat on my dresser. I scooted back on the bed as he came towards me. He bent down and slowly kissed me, I grabbed his arms and kissed him back. “I love you.” I said once again as we finished. He pushed me back on the bed and looked me in the eyes, “Love, that word I need to show it right now.” I got butterflies in my stomach as he crawled on top of me. I kissed him as I unbuttoned his shirt all the way. He lifted me up some and pulled my shirt from over my head. He kissed me all over my neck and quickly made his way down to my breast. He moved my bra from over them and sucked them. I closed my eyes and let moans escape. I opened my eyes back up and watch him, he was loving it.
He came up and smiled as me as he reached down for my jeans. He unbuttoned them and quickly pulled them off. He stood up and took his shirt off, I could see his print threw his jeans. I prepared myself for him to start what he always loved doing. I walked back into the room to find Bruno sleeping, at least I thought. I turned off the light and slowly crawled into bed with him. I listened to him breathe for awhile before I closed my eyes. “You feel better?” he said out of nowhere scaring me. He laughed I guess he felt me jump, “I’m sorry.” I laughed too, “It’s okay. You just need to stop fake sleeping.” “I don’t sleep, I wait.” I looked at him, “What?” He looked down to me, “You must don’t know.” I looked around and laughed, “Know what?” He closed his eyes again, “I’m the sex dragon.” I bust out into laughter, “Oh my god, where do you get these thoughts from?” “I don’t know.” he said holding in a laugh. I just shook my head, “Oh Bru, what am I going to do with you.” He kissed my forehead, “Love me, and never let me go.” I closed my eyes, “I think I can do that.” I thought back to the star one last time before I fell into a deep sleep.
I woke up out of nowhere and it was still pitch black in the room. Why am I woke, I thought. I peered over to the alarm clock on the nightstand, it was almost 5 A.M. I laid my head back down and laid there watching Diamond for a while. I flipped over on my back and looked up to the celling. I sat there for 10 minutes, thinking. I knew why I was woke now. I turned back to Diamond and touched her face, “Diamond.” I whispered. She started to stir but, never opened her eyes. I whispered her name again. “Bruno I know it is not time to get up already.” she said her eyes still closed. I took a deep breath, I really didn’t want to say this, but I had too. “I know..baby I’m horny.” She quickly opened her eyes, “What?” “I’m sorry.” She laughed, “You’re playing right?” I put a serious face on, “No.” “Oh my god.” she whispered. “Please.” I said putting on a smile. “Alright.” she said smiling and sitting up a bit. We made love again, and this time was better than the first.
This time when I woke up the sun was out and I heard cars passing the window. I let out a huge yawn and sat up looking over to the alarm clock. 11:21 A.M. I smiled and laid back down to look at Diamond. I was pretty sure I wore her out last night. Today was the day that my song Just The Way You Are had been released. I got a little nervous just thinking about it, but I knew that I put love into that song. I was just hoping whoever listened to it felt it. Later that afternoon I got a phone call from my record company telling me that they had pushed back my performance for Saturday Night Live. They wanted to wait till after my album was released I wasn’t mad about that, but at the same time it made time move slower.
The next couple of weeks we’re pretty exciting. Just The Way You Are was getting a lot more attention than I thought it would. I was asked by Cee-Lo Green to help him write and produce a song. The more popular my song got the more people wanted me to come for interviews and talk on the radio. Everything in August moved so fast. While out with the guys I met a actress named Karoline that I felt like would be the perfect fit for my music video. It all ended up working out, and we shot the video in a couple of days. However, it took some time to add all the animations so the video wasn’t set to be out till September. I finally got Grenade finished and as long as it took to get it done, I knew it was something special. I started to become more and more popular and my fans grew bigger and bigger.
September came and my album was finally finished and it was time to start going on the road. Even though all the songs weren’t realeased Just The Way You Are along with Nothin’ On You was giving me enough things to do at the shows I was doing. Diamond was right by my side everywhere I went and she helped me get through a lot. We hadn’t quite started to plan a wedding but, she was being very patient and I appreciated that. After the realease of my music video, things really started to move fast. I performed with B.o.B. at the MTV Video Music Awards and had to turn right back around to do a show in Las Vegas in a week. I loved all the attention I was getting, I just was ready to really take all of this on tour.
I moaned as Bruno’s phone rang waking me up. I pushed him a little bit, my eyes still closed. “Bruno your phone.” I managed to say. “Damn..” he whispered. I opened my eyes and he still laid there. I pushed him again, “Get it!” “Alright…” he moaned as he reached over onto the table next to the bed. He sat up, “Hello? No, I was sleeping. No sir. Really? That’s good news. No, thank you for calling me. I’ll give you a call here later. Alright, goodbye.” I turned to him, “Who was that?” He looked to me, “My manager, he says Grenade will be released next week.” I took a deep breath, “Oh god more shows.” He nodded, “I know.” He put his arms out and pulled me closer, “It’ll get better I promise.” “I know.” I lied. Things actually weren’t getting better, they we’re getting worst. I wasn’t one to be shelfish, but me and him we’re spending more and more less time together. We had been in and our of airports for the last couple of weeks and I honestly missed home so much. If he wasn’t doing a interview, he was performing at a huge awards show, or in the studio. I knew things would get hard, but I didn’t think this hard.
Bruno was perfoming at a party tonight and I was really looking forward to that. “Alright I’m up.” I said sitting up on the bed. “I’m sorry baby, I really am.” I shook my head, “It’s okay it’s not you’re fault.” I got up and dragged myself into the bathroom. I freshened up and went out to find Bruno making the bed. He smiled at me and I kissed him. “Can you go wake Phil and the guys up? Please?” “Sure.” I said smiling. I loved waking them up, it was one thing I really enjoyed while being at the hotel. I put on a robe and opened the door looking both ways down the hall. I creeped to the door to the right of ours and banged on it really hard for over 5 seconds. I quickly ran back into the room before other people could open their doors. Bruno looked at me crazy, “Is that how you wake them up?” I smiled, “No… the door was just locked this time.” He laughed as he picked up the hotel phone, “You want some lunch?” “Hell yeah.” I said turning on the TV. I listened as Bruno ordered room service.
I sat down in the chair and there was a knock at the door. Bruno looked at me and then to the door. I sighed, “I’ll get it.” I got up and looked threw the peep hole in the door, it was Phil also in a robe and he looked upset. I laughed to myself and opened the door. “Good Morning Phil!” I said sarcastically. He frowned, “Which one of yall banged on my door?” I quickly pointed to Bruno. He looked at me in mock horror and tried to say something and almost dropped the phone. I just smiled from ear to ear and shook my head. I had to have some kind of fun while I was here…..
